Black boots are melee tank armour worn in the feet slot in RuneScape 3. You need at least 25 Defence to wear them. They are tier 25 boots that give 19 armour, a 125 life points bonus, and 0.5% damage reduction against monsters.
These boots are a solid pick for early melee training. They protect your feet slot at low levels and add extra life points to help you last longer in fights. They are free-to-play, so any player can use them.
Black boots cannot be made with the Smithing skill, which makes them harder to get on your own. In game they drop from Bloodveld and Mutated Bloodveld, and Bloodveld need level 50 Slayer to fight. Buying a pair skips the grind.
The boots are tradeable and can be noted. Players who train Invention can also disassemble them for 7.5 experience. They always give one Knightly component, plus a chance at Cover parts, Plated parts, Deflecting parts, Strong components, and Protective components.
