Description
The Black dragonhide set is a boxed set of ranged armour in RuneScape 3. It is a members-only item. The set holds four pieces: the black dragonhide body, chaps, vambraces, and boots. It does not include the coif or the shield.
Every piece needs 60 Defence to wear. Together, the four pieces give a total armour value of 621. The body gives 260 armour, the chaps give 249, and the vambraces and boots each give 56. The armour will not block the effects of Ava's alerter, accumulator, or attractor, so ranged players can keep those perks while wearing it.
The set comes as one boxed item, so it saves bank space. It is tradeable and noteable. A Grand Exchange clerk can swap the box for the four armour pieces, or turn the pieces back into a box.
Black dragonhide is also useful for the Changing of the Guard achievement. That task asks players to beat the King Black Dragon while wearing black dragonhide in six equipment slots. This set covers four of those slots, which makes it a strong start for that goal.
