Description
The Black mask (10) is a members-only helmet in RuneScape 3. It is a magic mask dropped by cave horrors and unspeakable horrors in the Mos Le'Harmless Caves, which need level 58 Slayer to enter. To wear it, you need 10 Defence, 20 Strength, and a combat level of 40.
The mask has a passive effect called Slayer Spirit. It boosts your melee damage and gives a 12.5% melee accuracy bonus against your current Slayer task. This makes Slayer training faster and easier for melee fighters.
This version comes with ten charges. Each charge can lower an enemy's Defence level by 3 to 10 when you start a fight. Once the charges run out, the mask keeps its melee damage and accuracy bonuses. The charges cannot be added back.
The black mask is also a key part of the slayer helmet. Players who have finished Smoking Kills and learned the skill from a Slayer Master can craft one using an uncharged black mask. The slayer helmet keeps all the bonuses from the mask. It is tier 10 tank armour for the head slot and is tradeable.
