The Black platebody (g) is a black platebody with gold trim. It has the same stats as the regular black platebody, so the gold trim is only for looks. Players wear it to stand out and show off a rare style.

You need level 25 Defence to equip it. It is a tier 25 tank armour piece for the body slot in the melee class. It gives 87.6 armour, plus 0.5% damage reduction against monsters and 1.5% against players.

This item cannot be made with the Smithing skill. In the game, it comes as a rare reward from easy clue scrolls in Treasure Trails. It can also come from cremating vyre corpses at the Columbarium. That is why many players choose to buy one instead of hunting for it.
