These platelegs give 83.8 armour and a life points bonus of 375. They also cut damage taken by 0.5% in PvM and 1.3125% in PvP. This makes them a solid pick for low level players who want extra defence while training melee combat.
Black gear cannot be made with the Smithing skill, so players cannot craft this item from raw materials. In the game, it drops from monsters like Animated Black Armour, Black Knights, and Tormented wraiths.
Black platelegs can also be disassembled for Invention. Taking them apart gives 7.5 Disassembly XP and always yields one Knightly component. Other possible materials include Cover parts, Plated parts, Deflecting parts, Strong components, and Protective components.
