Description
Body runes are catalytic runes in RuneScape 3. Players use them to cast stat debuff spells and some skilling spells. They are stackable, tradeable, and weigh nothing, so they take up just one inventory slot no matter how many you hold.
Free players can use body runes for Weaken, a level 11 combat spell that lowers a target's stats. Members use them for many more spells. These include Enfeeble, Stat Spy, Dream, Spiritual Healing, Make Leather, Crystal Mask, and Penance on the Ancient spellbook. Disruption Shield needs the most body runes of any spell at 10 per cast.
Making body runes takes level 20 Runecrafting at the Body altar near Gunnarsgrunn. Each rune essence or pure essence gives one body rune and 7.5 experience. This is the highest levelled rune that free players can craft. Buying body runes saves the time it takes to craft them or hunt down rune spawns in places like the Varrock Sewers or the Lava Maze.
