Description
Congealed blood is a stackable item in RuneScape 3. It drops from many monsters in Morytania, such as ghouls, bloodvelds, feral vampyres, gargoyles, nechryael, and vyrewatch. It is thick and smells of copper.
Its main use is to charge blood essences. One congealed blood adds 10 charges to a blood essence item. It is also needed to make blood essences in the first place. Each type, such as the Aegis, Berserk, Reflecting, Tireless, Vampyric, and Penance blood essences, takes 100 congealed blood to create.
Congealed blood has more uses too. You can use it on a Drakan's medallion to add charges, at one blood per charge, up to 25,000 charges. It is also a key ingredient for super necromancy potions. Each potion takes five congealed blood and needs level 79 Herblore.
The item is tradeable and weighs nothing, so it is easy to hold in bulk. It cannot be equipped, alchemised, or disassembled. It is always kept outside a dangerous area on death. Buying congealed blood saves hours of grinding drops in Morytania, so you can charge your essences and mix your potions right away.
