Description

The crayfish cage is a fishing tool in RuneScape 3. Players use it at Cage fishing spots to catch raw crayfish. It needs no bait, so it is cheap and easy to use. Catching crayfish requires only level 1 Fishing and gives 10 Fishing XP per catch.

Raw crayfish can be cooked at level 1 Cooking for 30 Cooking XP each. Cooked crayfish heal 200 life points, which makes them a solid food for new players. This makes the crayfish cage a great pick for anyone starting to train Fishing and Cooking.

The cage can be stored in the tool belt, so it does not take up space in the backpack. It also has a use in the Dragon Slayer quest. It works as a small crustacean cage when trying to get the map piece in the Dwarven Mines.

Cage fishing spots for crayfish can be found in Lumbridge, Taverley, west of Sinclair Mansion, Wendlewick, and south of the Shrine of Inanna. Some of these spots need partial completion of Visions of Havenhythe. The crayfish cage is light at 0.141 kg, and it is tradeable and noteable.
