The diamond necklace is a piece of jewellery in RuneScape 3. Players make it by using a gold bar and a diamond on a furnace with a necklace mould. Making one needs level 56 Crafting and gives 90 Crafting experience. It is worn in the necklace slot and has no combat requirements. It gives no armour, damage, accuracy, or defensive bonuses.
The real value of a diamond necklace is what you can turn it into. Members with level 57 Magic can cast the Enchant Level 4 Jewellery spell on it to make a phoenix necklace. This grants 67 Magic experience per cast. Enchanting these necklaces gives much better experience than High Level Alchemy. Phoenix necklaces are also popular in player killing.
Diamond necklaces have another use at high levels. With level 94 Divination, a player can combine one necklace with 80 luminous energy to make a Sign of the porter VI.
The item is tradeable, equipable, and noteable. It can also be disassembled for materials like Precious components and Enhancing components. It is a smart buy for Magic training, Divination items, or PvP supplies.
