Dinosaur bones are a fast way to train the Prayer skill in RuneScape 3. Each bone gives 170 Prayer experience when buried. You can earn much more by using better methods. A gilded or chaos altar gives 595 experience per bone. The Fort Forinthry altar gives 510. The ectofuntus gives the most at 680 experience per bone. Cremation gives 425 Prayer experience plus 340 Firemaking experience.

These bones also help with the Necromancy skill. Use them in the Powerful communion ritual to make 30 to 116 souls per ritual.

Dinosaur bones drop from dinosaurs on Anachronia, such as Bagrada rex, Corbicula rex, and Pavosaurus rex. Big bosses like Raksha the Shadow Colossus drop them too. The bones are members-only content and were released on 8 July 2019.

The item is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy in bulk and carry around. It can also be disassembled for Invention. Most disassembles give Organic parts, with a small chance of Pious components. Buying dinosaur bones saves you hours of killing dinosaurs, so you can level Prayer or Necromancy much faster.
