Description

The Double Surge codex is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. Read it to upgrade your Surge ability. After the upgrade, Surge gains a second charge with its own hidden cooldown. This lets you use Surge twice in a row and cover more ground fast.

Surge moves your player up to 10 squares ahead in a straight line, including diagonally. It works in combat and outside of combat. With Double Surge, you can chain two moves back to back. This is great for getting around the map and for dodging attacks at bosses. The second charge does not work in the Wilderness if you are opted into PvP.

The codex is used up when you read it. If you already have the upgrade, reading it again does nothing and does not use it up. It can also be made with 750 codex pages at the lectern on Anachronia, which takes about 9 hours of agility laps to gather.

The Double Surge codex is tradeable and weighs almost nothing. It is a one-time unlock that makes one of the most used abilities in the game even better.
