Description
Dragon bones are one of the best ways to train the Prayer skill in RuneScape 3. They drop from most adult dragons, such as green, blue, red, black, and metal dragons. The King Black Dragon drops them too, and the Queen Black Dragon drops eight at a time.
Each bone gives 72 Prayer experience when buried. You can earn much more by using them in other ways. A gilded altar with two burners lit gives 252 experience per bone. The Ectofuntus gives 288 experience per bone but is slower. Cremating a bone gives 180 Prayer experience plus 144 Firemaking experience. Many players see dragon bones as a fast and low-cost way to raise their Prayer level.
Dragon bones have other uses too. Members can grind them into Dragon bonemeal with a bone grinder. They also work in Necromancy rituals like Greater Communion to make Soul resources. They can be disassembled for Organic parts and, on rare occasions, Pious components.
The bones are tradeable and noteable, and each one weighs 1.5 kg. Free-to-play players can bury dragon bones, so every account can use them to train Prayer.
