The RS3 Dragonfruit seed is a farming seed that grows into a dragonfruit cactus. It needs level 95 Farming and is planted in a cactus patch. Cactus patches are found in Al Kharid, the Imperial District of Menaphos, northern Anachronia, and Het's Oasis.
The seed takes 9 hours and 20 minutes to grow. Planting gives 400 Farming XP, and checking the health of the plant gives 5,888.7 XP. A fully grown cactus holds up to 3 dragonfruit at a time. Each fruit picked gives 259.4 XP, and new fruit regrows 20 minutes after harvest. Players can pay a nearby gardener 8 potato cacti to protect the plant from disease. The Desert amulet 3 also protects it.
Dragonfruit are useful food and crafting items. Eating one raw heals 1,950 life points. They can be crushed into primal fruit pulp, which is needed to make primal dessert. Farmers will also watch a carambola seed in exchange for nine dragonfruit.
The seed is stackable and tradeable. It can be disassembled for Organic parts, with a small chance of Living components. This makes it a solid pick for players training high level Farming in RuneScape 3.
