Description
The egg is a Cooking item in RuneScape 3. Players use it to make cakes and egg potatoes. To make an uncooked cake, combine an egg with a cake tin, a pot of flour, and a bucket of milk. You can also crack an egg into a bowl to get an uncooked egg.
Eggs have uses beyond Cooking. Members can turn an egg into a cockatrice egg with the Ophidian Incubation move from a spirit cobra familiar. The cockatrice egg is an ingredient in Summoning potions. Wizard Traiborn can turn an egg into an enchanted egg. Eggs can also be disassembled for Invention. They give Simple parts most of the time and Variable components on rare occasions.
The egg is a free-to-play item. It is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs only 0.02 kg. Eggs spawn near many chicken pens, like the farms in Lumbridge, Falador, and Entrana, plus the Chicken Shrine in Zanaris. Chickens also lay eggs on the ground, and hens like common white hens and Varrockian red hens drop them.
