Description
Fine cloth is a crafting material in RuneScape 3. Its main use is making splitbark armour. Players give fine cloth to Wizard Jalarast in the Wizards' Tower, and she turns it into splitbark pieces. It has other uses too. Ten pieces of fine cloth plus a shade master kit can turn Dagon'hai robes into Flamtaer robes.
Fine cloth also matters for Invention and high level Magic gear. The Lab coat top and legs each need 2 fine cloth at an inventor's workbench. Making Masterwork blue cloth takes 2 fine cloth as well, and a full Masterwork magic equipment set uses 18 cloth in total.
Getting fine cloth in game takes work. It comes from chests in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame, and higher level chests give better odds. Zaff's Superior Spellcasting sells only 4 per day. Buying it saves time spent grinding the minigame.
Fine cloth is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 1 kg. It is not equipable and does not stack. It is available to free players. Stock up on fine cloth to craft splitbark armour or push toward Masterwork magic gear.
