Description
The fly trap seed is a Farming seed in RuneScape 3. You need level 93 Farming to plant it. Fly trap seeds go in an allotment patch, and each patch needs three seeds. Planting gives 225 Farming experience.
Fly traps grow through five stages of 40 minutes each. The full growth time is 3 hours and 20 minutes. You can pay a farmer 15 cadava berries to protect the patch from disease. The cost drops to 14 berries with the tree farmer outfit or 13 with the master farmer outfit. Flowers like the white lily in a nearby flower patch can also protect the crop.
Each patch gives one harvest. You do not get a fruit item. Instead, you get 50 Farming experience and Thieving experience. The Thieving amount depends on your Farming and Thieving levels and whether you avoid damage from the flower. At level 99 in both skills, one harvest can give up to 1,170 Thieving experience. There is also a 1 in 81 chance to get Harmony moss when harvesting.
Fly trap seeds can also be used in a trough to make Seedy mush or Variety mush. When disassembled, they give Organic parts or, rarely, Living components.
