Description

Frost dragon bones are one of the best ways to train Prayer in RuneScape 3. They drop from frost dragons, which live in a resource dungeon inside the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon south of Port Sarim. Buying the bones lets you skip the fight and start training right away.

Each bone gives 180 Prayer experience when buried. The Dragon Rider amulet doubles that to 360. A gilded altar with both burners lit gives 630 experience per bone, and so does the chaos altar in the Wilderness. The Fort Forinthry tier 3 chapel altar gives 540. The Ectofuntus gives the most at 720 experience per bone.

These bones offer fast training. At a gilded altar with both burners lit, players can gain about 575,000 Prayer experience per hour. With a pack mammoth, that rate rises to around 1 million experience per hour.

Frost dragon bones have other uses too. They can be ground into frost dragon bonemeal, or cremated for 450 Prayer experience and 360 Firemaking experience. They can also be disassembled, giving mostly organic parts with a small chance of pious components. This makes them a strong pick for anyone working toward high Prayer levels.
