The Golden dragonfruit seed is a high level Farming seed in RuneScape 3. It is planted in a cactus patch and needs level 116 Farming. Once grown, it produces golden dragonfruit. One seed is planted per patch.
The seed takes 9 hours and 20 minutes to grow. It grows in 7 stages of 1 hour and 20 minutes each. After a harvest, the cactus regrows one fruit every 20 minutes. The seed uses the Leafy growth potion type, and Rapid Growth can be applied to speed things up.
This seed gives strong Farming experience. Planting gives 920 XP, checking gives 19,401.1 XP, and harvesting gives 2,719.6 XP. Players can protect the patch from disease by paying 3 Guarana. The tree farmer outfit drops the cost to 2, and the master farmer outfit drops it to 1. The Desert amulet 3 also protects the patch.
The Golden dragonfruit seed is stackable and tradeable. It can also be disassembled for Organic parts and, on rare occasions, Living components. It is a great pick for players training Farming at high levels.
