The main use for a golden watermelon is high level cooking. It is one of the four ingredients in a primal dessert, along with a white strawberry, a dragonfruit, and a mango. Making a primal dessert requires level 99 Cooking. The primal dessert is then used to make a primal feast. This makes the golden watermelon a key item for players who want to cook top tier food.

The golden watermelon is a members only item. It is tradeable and noteable, so it can be bought, sold, and stored with ease. It cannot be stacked, equipped, alchemised, or disassembled.
