Description

Guthan's chainskirt is a piece of melee tank armour in RuneScape 3. It is worn in the legs slot and needs 70 Defence to equip. The chainskirt is part of Guthan the Infested's barrows set, which comes from the Barrows minigame.

This is a tier 70 item with strong armour and a big life points bonus. It also gives damage reduction of 1.4% against monsters and 3.675% against players.

The real power comes from the full set. When a player wears all of Guthan's equipment, their attacks have a 25% chance to heal them for the damage they deal. This effect is called Guthan's Infestation. Many players use it to heal without food, which saves inventory space and money. High-hitting abilities can heal a large amount in one strike.

The chainskirt lasts for 100,000 charges of combat before it needs repair. It works at full strength the whole time, even as it degrades. Players can repair it with certain NPCs or at an armour stand in a player-owned house, where a higher Smithing level lowers the cost. The chainskirt can be traded when it is undamaged or fully broken.
