Description
Guthan's platebody is a tier 70 melee tank armour worn in the body slot in RuneScape 3. It is part of Guthan the Infested's barrows equipment. You need 70 Defence to wear it. It gives 341.7 armour, a 1050 life points bonus, and small damage reduction in PvM and PvP.
The real power comes from the full Guthan's set. When you wear the helm, platebody, chainskirt, and warspear together, your attacks have a 25% chance to heal you for the damage you deal. This lets players heal without food, which saves inventory space. It is a popular pick for Slayer training. High-hitting abilities like Meteor Strike can heal a large amount in one hit.
The platebody degrades over 100,000 charges of combat, but it does not lose any performance as it wears down. NPCs like Bob in Lumbridge can repair it, or you can use an armour stand in a player-owned house to pay less based on your Smithing level. It can only be traded when fully repaired or fully broken. It ties with Torag's and Dharok's platebodies as the third strongest platebody in the game.
