The Lantadyme seed is a high level herb seed in RuneScape 3. You plant it in a herb patch to grow grimy lantadymes. You need level 73 Farming to plant it.

Each planting uses one seed. The crop takes 80 minutes to grow, in four stages of 20 minutes each. Planting a seed gives 134.5 Farming XP. Harvesting gives 151.5 Farming XP per herb. Each patch gives at least 3 herbs, and using better compost raises that number. Supercompost gives a minimum of 5 herbs. The crop farmer outfit and master farmer outfit each give a small chance to save a harvest life.

Lantadyme seeds are a solid pick for training Farming at higher levels. They also give you a steady supply of grimy lantadymes, a herb used in Herblore. The seed is tradeable and stackable, so a full stack takes up only one inventory spot. It weighs nothing.

You can also disassemble the seed with Invention. It gives 2.1 XP and often breaks down into organic parts, with a rare chance of living components. The base junk chance is 19.7 percent.
