Description

The manta ray is a members-only food item in RuneScape 3. Eating one heals 2,275 life points. This makes it a solid food choice for bossing, slayer tasks, and other tough fights where you take heavy damage.

Manta rays are hard to make on your own. Cooking one takes level 91 Cooking, and they burn often. Even at level 99 Cooking with cooking gauntlets, about 23% of them still burn. Only a Cooking cape stops the burning for good. Catching the raw fish is not easy either. It takes level 81 Fishing at the Deep Sea Fishing hub or luck in the Fishing Trawler minigame. Buying manta rays skips all of that work.

Manta rays have other uses too. Players can disassemble them for Invention materials, with a high chance of organic parts and no junk. Each fish weighs 0.4 kg, so they are easy to carry in bulk.
