The Masterwork Magic Hat is tier 99 power armour for the Magic skill in RuneScape 3. It fits in the head slot and needs level 99 Defence to wear. It gives 553 armour, a 950 life point bonus, 2 Prayer bonus, and a strong 25.0 Magic damage bonus. It is part of the masterwork magic set, the strongest craftable magic armour in the game.
The set bonus is a big reason to want this hat. With three or more pieces worn, part of the damage you take is delayed and spread out over the next 6 seconds. Each piece delays 10% of incoming damage, up to 50% with all five pieces. This helps you heal through big hits and survive attacks that would normally kill you. The effect also works in PvP.
The hat lasts for 100,000 charges of combat before it breaks. It can be repaired with masterwork white cloth. You can also custom-fit it at the Master Crafter in the Crafting Guild. This doubles its charges to 200,000 and stops it from losing charges against Slayer targets, Reaper targets, and elite dungeon monsters.
