Description
The Mazcab ability codex is an item in RuneScape 3 that unlocks one powerful raid ability. It drops from the raid bosses Beastmaster Durzag and Yakamaru. It can also be bought from the Armoursmith for 25,000 Teci.
Reading the codex lets a player pick one ability to unlock. The choices are Corruption Shot, a strong ranged bleed attack. Corruption Blast, a strong magic bleed attack. Onslaught, an ability that turns adrenaline and then health into big damage, with a cap of 30,000 per hit. Storm Shards and Shatter, which stack damage on a target and then release it all at once. Both unlock with one codex. The Mazcab Teleport can also be unlocked. Each ability needs the right level, such as 70 Ranged for Corruption Shot or 90 Constitution for Onslaught.
One codex unlocks one ability. The choice is made right away with no confirmation message, and the codex is used up. The codex is tradeable and noteable, so it can be sold or moved with ease. It weighs almost nothing and is always kept on death outside dangerous areas. These abilities give players a real edge in high level combat.
