The Mimic tongue cape is a rare cape in RuneScape 3. It is made from the tongue of a mimic. The in-game text calls it "Disgusting!" That gross look is a big part of why players want it. It is a fun way to stand out.

This cape is a drop from the Giant Mimic boss. Only the hard mode version at combat level 104 and the elite mode version at combat level 118 can drop it. The drop rate is very rare, at about 1 in 2,000. The cape was released on 18 February 2016. At first it was only available through Treasure Hunter. On 5 February 2018 the Giant Mimic became permanent content, so the cape can drop again.

The Mimic tongue cape goes in the cape slot and is a hybrid class item. This means it works with melee, ranged, and magic combat styles. It gives a small armour bonus and no damage, accuracy, or prayer bonuses. It weighs 0.5 kg. The cape is tradeable and can be noted. It cannot be alchemised or disassembled. Players collect it as a rare cosmetic item, not for its stats.
