Description
The onyx is a rare black gem in RuneScape 3. It is the second rarest gem in the game. Only the hydrix is harder to find. Players use the onyx to make some of the best jewellery in the game.
With level 72 Crafting, an onyx can be made into a ring, necklace, bracelet, or amulet. These can be enchanted into powerful items. The Ring of Fortune improves loot from strong monsters and bosses. The Berserker necklace boosts obsidian melee damage by 5%. The Regen bracelet makes health recover three times faster. The Amulet of fury gives bonuses to strength, ranged, magic, necromancy, and prayer.
The onyx also works with Fletching. At level 73, it can be cut into 24 onyx bolt tips. These make Onyx bolts (e), which can leech life from enemies and heal the player.
An onyx is also needed to make a hydrix. Combine it with an incomplete hydrix from the Soul Reaper activity to get an uncut hydrix. A cut onyx can also repair enchanted hydrix jewellery, recharging it by 50%.
