Description

Praesulic essence (ranged) is a crafting material in RuneScape 3. It is used to make some of the best ranged armour in the game. With this essence, players can craft elite sirenic armour, elite Dracolich armour, and masterwork ranged plates. These plates are used to make Masterwork ranged equipment.

This essence comes from breaking down Pernix equipment at the dragonkin anvil in the Dragon Forge. That process needs level 99 Crafting and the Relight My Fire achievement. Buying the essence lets players skip that work. Pernix armour is dropped by Nex, so making the essence yourself can take a long time.

Each Pernix piece gives a set amount of essence. The body gives 5, the chaps give 3, the cowl gives 2, and the gloves and boots give 1 each. Degraded pieces give less than fully charged ones.

Praesulic essence (ranged) is the ranged version of the melee and magic types. It is members-only, tradeable, and noteable. It cannot be alchemised or disassembled. It is a smart pickup for any player who wants to craft top-tier ranged gear in RS3.
