Description
The primal bar is a members-only metal bar in RuneScape 3. It is made with the Smithing skill by smelting ten different ores together: novite, bathus, marmaros, kratonium, fractite, zephyrium, argonite, katagon, gorgonite, and promethium. Each smelt makes five bars at once and needs level 100 Smithing.
Primal bars are the top tier of smithing metal. At an anvil, they can be smithed into primal weapons, armour, and tools. Smelting one bar gives 31 Smithing experience, and smithing a bar at an anvil gives 1,400 Smithing experience. This makes primal bars a strong choice for training Smithing at high levels.
Higher Smithing levels make the bars even better. At level 101, smelting is 25% faster. At level 103, there is a 10% chance to smelt an extra set of five bars for free. At level 106, smelting is 50% faster.
The bar is tradeable and noteable, and it can be disassembled for Simple parts or Crafted parts with no junk chance. Primal metal is a light red metal that first came from the deep dungeons of Daemonheim. Buying primal bars saves the time needed to mine and smelt ten different ores.
