The Primal pickaxe + 5 is the fully upgraded version of the primal pickaxe in RuneScape 3. It is a level 100 pickaxe that requires level 100 Mining to use. It deals 55 to 155 Mining damage per swing, with an average of 105, and has 275 penetration. This makes it a top choice for mining high level rocks fast.
Making this pickaxe yourself takes a lot of work. It uses 64 primal bars in total across the full upgrade chain, and the final step alone needs 32 primal bars and level 100 Smithing. Owning one saves you all that effort.
The pickaxe can be stored on the tool belt, so it never takes up backpack space. Note that the pickaxe is currently bugged when wielded, dealing only 50 to 150 damage. Keep it in your backpack or on your tool belt to get its full damage.
It can also be turned into a Primal burial pickaxe with a hammer at a Burial Anvil at level 100 Smithing, which grants 44,800 Smithing experience. This pickaxe is a strong pick for any player training Mining at the top level.
