Description
Purple dye is a small bottle of dye in RuneScape 3. Players make it by mixing blue dye with red dye. Aggie in Draynor Village can make both of those dyes. Purple dye is free to play and can be traded with other players.
The main use for purple dye is colouring capes. Dyeing a cape purple also gives 2.5 Crafting experience. The dye can also colour a small rune pouch or a large rune pouch, turning them purple.
Purple dye is needed in quests too. It dyes goblin mail during the Land of the Goblins quest. It also dyes orange slices during the Freeing the Goblin generals part of Recipe for Disaster.
Players can find a free respawn of purple dye north of the battlefield, near the spirit tree, south of East Ardougne. It can also be bought for 6 coins from the seamstress in Lletya. That shop only opens after starting the Mourning's End Part I quest or the Prisoner of Glouphrie quest.
Purple dye is a cheap and handy item for anyone who wants a purple cape, a purple rune pouch, or quest progress.
