The RS3 Ranarr seed is a Farming seed in RuneScape 3. Plant it in a herb patch to grow grimy ranarrs. You need level 32 Farming to plant it. Each patch takes one seed, and the crop grows in about 80 minutes. Harvesting gives 30.5 Farming experience per herb.

Ranarr herbs are a top pick for players who train Herblore or want to make money. Each planted seed gives at least three harvest lives, so one seed can give several herbs. Using better compost adds more harvest lives, and supercompost yields at least five herbs. The crop farmer outfit and master farmer outfit each give a small chance to save a harvest life that would be lost.

These seeds can also drop from monsters, come from pickpocketing Master Farmers, appear in bird's nests, or come from nature implings. Buying them directly saves the time it takes to farm those sources yourself.

If a plant gets diseased and cured, it needs an extra 15 minutes to finish growing. Players who work on Invention can also disassemble the seed for organic parts and, on rare chances, living components.
