Description

Raw chompy is a members-only food item in RuneScape 3. It comes from chompy birds, which are level 2 monsters that always drop one raw chompy. You cannot eat it as is. It must be cooked first.

You can cook a raw chompy on an iron spit or an ogre spit-roast at Rantz's house. This makes a cooked chompy and needs level 30 Cooking. Cooking it grants 140 experience. If the cooking fails, you get a ruined chompy instead. Raw chompy is also one of the three main ingredients in a wild pie.

Raw chompy is used in quests. You need two of them for the As a First Resort quest. It is also used in Recipe for Disaster to help free Skrach Uglogwee. Hunting chompies is unlocked during the Big Chompy Bird Hunting quest.

With level 17 Cooking, you can turn raw chompy into meaty mush or variety mush at a trough. The item is tradeable and noteable. It weighs 10 kg, and a Sign of the Porter can send it to your bank. It can also be disassembled for materials.
