The Royal cape is a cosmetic cape in RuneScape 3. It is a thick, dark cape marked with the symbol of a dragon's head. The symbol appears to be the head of the Queen Black Dragon. The cape shows eight eyes, a trait unique to that dragon.
This cape has no combat bonuses. Players wear it for its look, not for stats. It cannot be stored on a cape rack in a player-owned house.
The Royal cape drops from all three stages of grotworm. Young grotworms, grotworms, and mature grotworms can all drop it. You do not need to complete the quest Song From the Depths to kill grotworms.
The cape is equipable, tradeable, and noteable. It can also be disassembled for Clothing parts, such as Cover parts, Simple parts, Padded parts, and Variable components. It weighs 0.453 kg.
The Royal cape was added to the game on 22 May 2012. It became free to play on 9 October 2017. It is a good pick for players who want a dark, dragon-themed cape without any level requirements.
