This necklace has two useful upgrades. It can be enchanted into a Dig Site pendant with the Lvl-3 Enchant spell at level 49 Magic. You must first learn the spell by helping clean samples at the Varrock Museum. It can also be combined with 60 Radiant energy to make a Sign of the porter V, which needs level 88 Divination.

The ruby necklace can also be disassembled for Invention. It gives 12 experience and 5 materials, with a 56 percent base junk chance.
