Description

Torag's platebody is a strong melee chest armour from the Barrows set of Torag the Corrupted. It is tank armour worn in the torso slot. You need level 70 Defence to wear it. It gives 341.7 armour and a big life points bonus of 1050. It also cuts damage taken by 1.4% against monsters and 4.2% against players.

This platebody cannot be made with Smithing. It comes from the Barrows Brothers minigame. It can also be a Farming Request reward from the Strange Old Man.

The armour degrades as you fight. It lasts 100,000 charges of combat and works at full power the whole time. When it breaks, certain NPCs or an armour stand in a player-owned house can repair it. A higher Smithing level lowers the repair cost.

Wearing the full Torag set gives a special effect called Torag's Corruption. Melee attacks have a 25% chance to lower the target's adrenaline by 20%. This works in player versus player combat. It makes the set a solid pick for tanky melee fights against other players.
