The yellow Santa hat is a rare head slot item in RuneScape 3. It came out on 24 November 2025 during the 2025 Christmas event. It is a bright yellow version of the classic Santa hat, and players wear it to show off in the game.
The hat comes from Christmas presents in the 2025 event. It has a 50% chance to come from a Gold Christmas Present, where it shares the drop with the blue Santa hat. Gold presents come from handing Christmas wrapping paper to Noel the snow imp near Santa's lodge.
Anyone can wear it. It works for both free players and members, and it has no combat requirements. It gives no combat stats, so it is a pure cosmetic item. It is tradeable, lendable, noteable, and can be disassembled. It weighs 0.113 kg and is not stackable.
Players can combine the hat with a Santa beard to make a yellow Santa hat with beard. This can be split back into the two items later, as long as the hat is not on loan from another player.
