Lynette Genshin Impact: How to Master the Magic Helper

By Jesus Marquez | Created: September 22, 2023 | Last updated: December 18, 2024 | Read Time: 15 minutes

Magic only exists if you believe in it, and Lynette will help players to show them magic is real. She is the new character to pull some wishes, build, and master in the update 4.0. Lynette in Genshin Impact came to take the stage with her twin brother and make some magic when the sun goes down. A helper that works better during the evenings; what’s better than a magic show during nighttime? Lyney and Lynette have their public but wait for all players to play with them as a team to boost their magic to the maximum level possible.

Lynette is a 4-star character who will help her twin brother during the magic tricks and the players on the battlefield, thanks to her DPS damage. As an Anemo character, she works best when combined with other characters to bring out the actual damage. She is delicate, elegant, and the assistant of her twin brother Lyney, but she’s the one who makes the show run smoothly; just don’t ask her questions about the show itself since Lyney should know more about it. Are you ready for the night show, or should we sell the tickets to someone else? Genshin Lynette is waiting for you, prepared for the show.

What Kind of Character is Lynette in Genshin Impact?

Lynette is a few-words character, unpredictable like a cat, but with great power to deal great damage in just a few appearances. She has a poker face most of the time, giving her a mysterious aura related to her principal job, being the magic assistant for Lyney and supporting his magic tricks.

The counterpart of her flamboyant twin brother Lyney, as it should be, since Lynette, is a more refined character with an elegant personality that compliments her brother during the magic shows. An assassin-like playstyle thrives during the nighttime with her Anemo DPS, which could be the main or the sub-DPS without a problem using the right artifacts and weapons.

Lynette in Genshin came to inflict the most damage possible before disappearing again into the background. Lynette is a sub-DPS with some Support capabilities thanks to the passive abilities that provide ATK buff when she is on the team. Moreover, it’s a character created to taunt enemies during fights in a quick in-and-out assassin style.

Lynette in Genshin Impact is an excellent character, especially as she is available to users for free once they complete the 'The Curtain Never Falls on Magic' event and reach 25 Adventure Rank. Players can also use Wishes for Lynette, acquiring weapons to match her style and dealing the highest damage manageable out in the field.

She is an excellent option for a sub-DPS, though she can play as a main depending on how many constellations. For example, C6 grants a bonus to her Normal Attacks infused with Anemo power. It’s important to say Lynette is a character to keep a watchful eye out for in future updates; with her 4-star ranking, the possibilities of maxing out constellations are more likely to help her achieve her C6 quicker. Squishing the best of her and providing some magical experiences to players in gameplay.

Lynette: Genshin Impact Kit and Rotation

What makes a character shine in Genshin Impact is their abilities kit. With these abilities, players can create combos and rotations to deal damage or support the team during battles. Lyney and Lynette in Genshin, besides both being magicians, have different personalities and kits that could complement each other. It’s like day and night, but for now, it’s Lynette’s turn to show what she is capable of on the field.

Normal Attack: Rapid Ritesword

Lynette’s Normal Attack Rapid Ritesword allows her to perform up to 4 rapid strikes with a sword by just clicking the objective; in other instances, this normal attack changes to a charged attack when the player holds the click. Lynette will consume some Stamina but will hit two rapid Sword strikes, dealing damage to anything in front of her.

Compared to other characters, Lynette's Normal Attack doesn’t do a lot of damage, however, it’s great when her abilities are on cooldown. The animation is flashy and works well for a quick fight. Still, the magician helper focuses all her damage on the Elemental Skill and the Elemental Burst rather than the normal attack. Lynette’s basic attacks are not useless, but it is a shame for her not to have a more potent regular attack.

Elemental Skill: Enigmatic Feint

This skill is essential for Lynette since it escalates quickly into a high-damage Anemo attack. When it’s cast, Lynette shows her magician’s mantle and then, with a rapid move, executes what is called an Enigma Thrust attack. It’s a skill that makes Lynette restore some of the HP based on her max HP, but only when the Elemental Skill hits an enemy. However, it also includes a downside because she will lose HP during the next 4 seconds. It’s a great character to build with HP condition artifacts. This skill has a cooldown of 12 seconds.

Moreover, it’s not just an ability to press and go, since it varies depending on players' choices. Enigmatic Feint and Lynette have two variants: press or hold. If players just press the ability, she will perform the Enigma Thrust just in front of her, but giving a moment and holding the ability will bring a new possibility into the field. Lynette will enter a high-speed state called Pilfering Shadow. This state will apply a mark to a random nearby enemy. When this state ends for any reason, she will perform an Enigma Thrust on the marked enemy. This occurs after she appears in front of the target, leaving a flash behind her.

Lynette’s Enigmatic Feint is part of the Fontaine-exclusive Pneuma and Ouisa mechanics. What does this mean? Lynette in Genshin Impact can do a quick refresher. She can deal Pneuma-aligned or Ouisa-aligned damage, translating to more damage to Fontaine enemies like the Clockwork Mekas. Lynette uses an Ouisa-aligned kit, and when she performs an Enigma Thrust, she charges with a Surging Blade of Ouisa-aligned Anemo damage.

Elemental Burst: Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift

Magic is essential for Lynette in Genshin Impact since her Elemental Burst is also usable offensively and defensively. The assassin capabilities Lynette offers to the player, and the team, are perfect since it’s not a character that could be a Main DPS but shines as a sub-DPS. Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift is the ability Lynette casts when she raises her mantle to deal high Anemo damage in the surrounding area. The show must continue, and when Lynette performs this magic trick, a Bogglecat Box appears near her.

When the Bogglecat Box is on the field, this box will attract the enemies’ attention and trick them into thinking it’s the main thing to focus on instead of Lynette or any other character. It will inflict Anemo damage during a specific time. Elemental Bust plays an important role for this Anemo character. The combination of Swirl with elements like Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro, adds additional damage, making this kit extremely helpful. One more thing about the Bogglecat Box is when it is infused with another element, the Vivid Shots will do damage from that element. The element absorption will be Cryo, Pyro, Hydro, and Electro.

Since the Bogglecat Box forces nearby enemies to target it, it provides a chance for a break to recharge, escape, or use Enigmatic Feint again. Likewise, including more elements in the Magic Trick of Lynette could lead to extra damage applied to the opponents. Lynette is the perfect in-and-out character that could fit great in numerous F2P or P2P teams.

Passive Talents

Lynette in Genshin Impact has three passive talents, and two of the three are related directly to her Elemental Burst ability. Part of her passive talents is to push their assassin playstyle into more diverse combinations and teams. As an in-and-out character, she could rotate within the team frequently to compliment her teammates even more if they have a fellow character with elements like Cryo, Electro, Hydro, or Pyro to make the Burst more useful in the field.

Loci-Based Mnemonics

It is Lynette’s first passive talent, a skill related to a new mechanic introduced in version 4.0 with Fontaine. This passive will let Lynette show the location of nearby Recovery Orbs on the mini-map during the diving sessions. Moreover, it will increase the Aqua Stamina and HP players gain by 25% when players touch a Recovery Orb.

Sophisticated Synergy

It is Lynette’s Ascension 2 skill. This passive talent activates when she uses her Elemental Burst. This ability grants an Attack boost for 10 seconds for all party members based on the Element types of the one in the party. The Attack boost will start at 8% when the party only includes one element, like mono-Anemo, but will increase by 4% per unique or different element type with a maximum of 20% boost. The passive talent will benefit all team members, regardless of the composition players choose. This ability increases the possibility of using Lynette in Genshin Impact more frequently.

Props Positively Prepped

Her last, but not least important, passive talent is Props Positively Prepped. When Lynette casts her Bogglecat Box during her Elemental Burst, and it performs an Elemental Conversion, this ability will deal 15% more damage. This effect will be active until the Bogglecat Box disappears. This passive talent is less direct than the previous one. Still, it is a good passive that will make Lynette fit in a variety of compositions and also add an extra Swirlable Element that grants even more changes for additional damage to enemies.

Preferred rotation for Lynette: Genshin Impact

Lynette is a flexible character, and it could lack specific stability for some players since it’s not a front-line or constant damage-dealer on the field. Moreover, it’s an excellent choice for backup damage for a rotation. Her playstyle intertwines with the player's desire to create a good rotation during combat.

First: Enigmatic Feint (Elemental Skill)

The priority rotation order for Lynette in Genshin Impact starts with her most deadly ability, Enigmatic Feint (Elemental Skill). This ability is the heart of Lynette’s DPS damage. Missing it will make her value decrease. It’s essential to perform this ability as strongly as possible since it’s the highest damage this character will cause in her rotation. She will activate the Pilfering Shadow state, giving her the ability to attack a target nearby in a sneaky way. Likewise, casting this ability first will make an energy recharge for the other abilities.

Second: Magic Trick Astonishing Shift (Elemental Burst)

The second ability to cast is the Elemental Burst or Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift, which includes Bogglecat Box and Vivid Shots. As we explained, this is the most crucial ability of Lynette since it includes two of the three passive talents and the possibility of Swirlable Elements. This ability consumes a lot of energy, so it needs to be used with a clear mind and with the objectives in mind. It’s a high-damage ability with some extras. Lynette can taunt opponents thanks to the Burst, but to use it at the highest level, she also needs a synchronized team with any elements that can sum her up.

Third: Rapid Ritesword (Normal Attack)

Finally, his Normal Attack. Before Lynette disappears backstage, Rapid Ritesword could be the cherry on top. Indeed, it doesn’t involve any synergy or particular role during the assassin time of Lynette, but it’s an alternative when their abilities are in cooldown. Take all enemies possible before rotating characters in the team. Forcing her into making a Normal Attack user will bury the fun 6 feet into the ground. Only consider investing in Normal Attack for Lynette in Genshin Impact if you are obsessed with a Triple Crown for her.

Lynette: Genshin Impact Constellations, Worth it?

Like the other characters, Lynette has 6 constellations or C6, but what are the ones worth having, depending on skills and players’ playstyle? Here are all the Lynette’s constellations and her improvements in her:

C1. A Cold Blade like a Shadow

When her Elemental Skill hits a marked enemy, she will summon a gale of wind that pulls enemies to its location. It’s something to take care of since this C1 will group up enemies. Likewise, it supports the ability to taunt enemies.

C2. Endless Mysteries

When Lynnette’s Burst deals damage from an absorbed element, it deals an additional instance of damage. A minor update from the base Lynette or C1; it is not a big damage boost.

C3. Cognition Inverting Gaze

Increase Burst Talent to Level 3. A simple upgrade for her Elemental Burst.

C4. Tacit Coordination

Adds an Extra Charge to Lynette’s Skill. This means Lynette will have two charges for her Elemental Skill. Players can use two Enigmatic Feint twice, back-to-back, but the cooldown will be the same 12 seconds, and using the two charges will be 24s cooldown since each use will recharge separately and one at a time.

C5. Obscuring Ambiguity

Increase Skill talent level by 3. This is another minor update with little changes in damage or any extra.

C6. Watchful Eye

When Lynette uses her Skill, she will gain an Anemo Infusion and 20% Anemo Damage Bonus for 6 seconds. This upgrade is massive since it’s a real boost for Lynette, and it is easy to trigger with two Skill charges. Furthermore, it makes Lynette attack with an Anemo Infuse more frequently, and she will find more value in the 20% damage boost during her time in the field. Even with this Anemo Infuse, Swirl reaction will also be more frequent.

Depending on how players like to use Lynette in Genshin Impact, like a main DPS or a sub-DPS, the recommendations are C1, C4, and C6. C1 for the utility this can bring to the field during her rotation, C4 because Lynette will get more damage thanks to the extra Skill added and all the damage she will do using double the Skill. C6 is a significant boost, but since it could take time to hit it, it’s useful for those who want a main DPS with more solid damage thanks to the Anemo Damage Boost and the Anemo Infuse with her Elemental Skill.

Ascension Materials Requires for Lynette in Genshin Impact

Lynette could look weak initially, but will thrive drastically in everything during each upgrade and level ascension. Since she will need a little help to squeeze all her potential, it’s essential to level her up as soon as possible if any player wants to play with her as a main character in their roster. Lynette will require specific materials for each level of Ascension. Here’s the list to make her reach level 90.

  • Vayuda Turquoise Silver x 1
  • Vayuda Turquoise Fragment x 9
  • Vayuda Turquoise Chunk x 9
  • Vayuda Turquoise Gemstone x 6
  • Meshing Gear x 18
  • Mechanical Spur Gear x 30
  • Artificed Dynamic Gear x 36
  • Lumidouce Bell x 168
  • Artificed Spare Clockwork Component – Coppelia x 46

Weapons: Which Ones Are Good for Lynette in Genshin Impact?

There are many weapons in Genshin, but finding the right one for each character could be challenging, since all variations and updates are needed to bring out the weapon's potential and the character itself. Lynette in Genshin Impact has some options from her same tier, 4 stars, and an option 5 stars that fits her like a ring on her hand.

Freedom-Sworn

This weapon is the best option for Lynette since this Sword is excellent for Anemo users. Lynette will benefit from this weapon thanks to its option for boosting Swirl damage. Moreover, it includes a high-damage Base Attack and superior Elemental Mastery of 198 at level 90. This weapon increases damage 10% and will support Lynette’s team during the battle with the effect from Sigil of Rebellion and Millennial Movement.

Sacrificial Sword

It’s an exceptional sword for Lynette in Genshin Impact for the help it will bring to her Elemental Burst. This weapon is a good option for Lynette to accomplish a support role of the helpful energy recharge this sword has. It's still an option, but the base attack is not the greatest. It's handy for generating energy for other characters.

Fleuve Cendre FerryMan

The Fleuve Cender Ferrymand increases Lynette’s elemental skill critical hit power by 8 to 16 %. Also, this weapon is easy to refine since it is free. The recommendation is to use R5 since it brings out the max crit rate and increases energy recharge by 32% for 5 seconds after using Lynette’s Elemental Skill. This sword could reach up to 77% Energy Recharge in the R5 refined form. Likewise, it has a decent base attack stat.

Favonius Sword

This sword is excellent for Lynette since it allows her to play a support role. This weapon has a decent base attack but includes a 61.3% Energy Recharge and a 100% Crit Hit change with the possibility to generate a small number of Elemental particles. These particles will cause 6 Energy for Lynette, but this can only happen every 6 seconds.

The Best Builds for Lynette in Genshin Impact

Creating Genshin Impact builds with the right artifact set is vital for any character, and Lynette can’t be the outsider on this topic. She is a damage dealer with some support characteristics but mainly focuses on buff and bonuses. For Lynette in Genshin Impact, two great builds could push her to the best of her limits.

2-Piece Build

The first includes 2 pieces of Viridescent Venerer and 2 pieces of Desert Pavilion Chronicle. This combination will make her shine with a total 30% Anemo Damage bonus. It’s not a particularly overpowered set, but a straightforward bonus that could drastically increase damage goes a long way for a C6 Lynette. Moreover, a combination with an Anemo Damage Goblet will increase the Anemo Damage bonus for Ascending, finally giving her an insane Anemo Damage overall.

4-piece Build

Another build for her is a 4 piece of Viridescent Venerer, which will reward a 15% Anemo Damage Bonus. This build will grant the 4-piece bonus, giving Lynette a 65% Swirl Damage increase and a decrease in the opponent’s Elemental RES to the element infused during the Swirl by 40% for 10 seconds, for example, infused Cryo, enemies will become weak to Cryo with this bonus. This option will limit Lynette in Genshin Impact since she will become more dependable on her Elemental Burst and reduce some possibilities to hit high damage numbers.

Which Team is the Best for Lynette in Genshin Impact

Building a fully functional team for Lynette is essential for any path the player would like to follow. Genshin’s best teams will vary for this magician’s helper, depending on the playstyle, experience, commodity, and overall preference of each player. We provide an inclusive list of possible teams that work best with Lynette:

Double Pyro, Hydro, Anemo

For a premium team, Childe is a viable option for the main DPS, Lynette, and Xianling as sub-DPS, and for support Bennett. This Hydro, Anemo, Pyro combination will work well since Lynette boosts damage attack increases and reduces Elemental Res. Childe Hydro damage will create vaporize damage thanks to Xiangling, who will enter the field with her powerful Elemental Burst.

Bennet provides healing and attack buff at the same time. Building a team with great stats is immersive but time-consuming; however, buying a Genshin Impact account with a leveled character is a quick and easy solution. Also, it’s easier to build a team this way.

Electro, Pyro, Hydro, Anemo

Another excellent premium team is Lyney, Yae Miko, and Kokomi with Lynette. Yae Miko has the spotlight here, even as a sub-DPS with a similar playstyle to Lynette. Since Yae is an Electro character, players must use Fox Talismans effectively at the right time to make Lynette enter and use her Skill and Burst to deal significant damage with the Swirl.

Lyney will also benefit from this Yae-Lynette combination since it’s a bow Pyro user, helping Lynette with the taunt strategy with her Trick Arrows. Kokomi is the team healer and support, giving some extras with Elemental Reaction utility. Kokomi Hydro provides quick access to high-power Vaporize, Super Conduct, or Swirl, creating a synergy with the team beyond perfect.

Double Electro, Hydro, Anemo

A good F2P options for Lynette are Beidu, Fishl, and Xingqiu. This Double Electro, Anemo, and Hydro team focuses on causing minor Electro-charged damage during the battle, creating a melt on the enemies’ HP. Furthermore, it is a great way to use the Swirl of Lynette’s Burst.

Lyney and Lynette in Genshin are a great match; however, Lynette is the one who works in the shadows to taunt enemies and the public as well. Lynette in Genshin Impact appears when it is the right time, dealing the most damage possible and then disappearing again into the shadows. It’s suitable for those who like short rotations and high damage with extra elemental bonuses and Swirl. She is flexible and can fit in different teams, boosting her teammates in different ways. Talking about flexibility, our blog is full of guides that will help you in your Genshin Impact Journey or in other games you are already playing or might try soon.
