To kick off 2023, let's talk about the new raid in the WoW Ulduar patch update. We will touch on some interesting and exciting new and upcoming events, informing you of the release dates, times, and more. With the introduction of some of these nostalgic moments, such as classic raids and dungeons, it was only a matter of time before one of the finest raids in the game made an appearance. The WoW Wotlk Ulduar raid has just hit the game. Through the introduction of the Ulduar patch WotLK, we will see not only the exciting new raid but also some other refreshing content. So, let's look at the finer details.
This Patch update sees players receiving the newest content phase of WotLK. On January 16, Blizzard got the ball rolling; below, we have listed the latest content to dig into:
January 16
January 17
January 19
January 23
With that said, let's briefly explore what these entail.
January 16 - Events of the Day!
The first thing we'll touch on in this WoW WotLK Ulduar raid walkthrough is the changes revolving around the Emblem of Conquest.
From January 16, you can access the Emblem of Conquest; these can be obtained via any of the Ulduar bosses or by completing Proof of Demise Heroic Dungeon daily quests. Additionally, Emblems of Valor can be obtained from all Heroic dungeon bosses.
To exchange Emblems of Conquest, players must look for new vendors located in Dalaran. For Horde players, they can head to the Sunreaver's Sanctuary, whereas those playing Alliance should make their way to the Silver Enclave.
You can exchange your Emblems for the following:
Additionally, selective neck, waist, hand, and leg slot items can be exchanged.
The final Ulduar patch WotLK update released on the 16th was the Argent Tournament. Players who haven't already taken full advantage of this new adventure can head to Icecrown. There they can visit the Argent Tournament grounds, checking out the daily quest hub to better understand how to participate.
January 17 - What can we expect?
Arena - Season 6
To kick off the second day of the WoW Ulduar patch update, a new Arena Season will be making its debut. Players have a chance to qualify for the following when they partake in season 6:
To give you some variety, previous seasons' gear will be available for purchase at the arena and from honor vendors. The costs will be adjusted accordingly.
The introduction of the Mysterious Titan Relic has seen the difficulty of level 80 Heroic Dungeons hit an all-time high.
These new and exciting relics can be found near entrances of all level 80 Heroic Dungeons, and interacting with them is where the fun begins. Doing so sees all enemies within the dungeon gain health, special effects, and damage (varying for each dungeon).
Though these interesting new additions ramp up the difficulty of your battle, it also introduces the opportunity to get your hands on some previously unavailable gear. Whereas without using these relics, these drops were only available in normal 10-player versions of the following:
January 19 - The long-awaited WoW WotLK Ulduar raid itself.
The official WoW Classic site announced the release of the WoW WotLK Ulduar raid to be available to Alliance and Horde players at 3 pm PST on January 19. Meaning many of you will have had the chance to get into the action already!
For those excited to get into the action, it's imperative that you check your leveling, as this particular raid requires a level of at least 80 to participate.
To answer that question, we will first have to answer the question: where is Ulduar Raid? The new raid will be set at Storm Peaks in Northrend. The entrance to the raid is at the northern end of the Storm Peaks. The location acts as a prison for the old god, Yogg-Saron, one of the 14 bosses you can face in the raid. The next thing we need to touch on is how to enter Ulduar Raid. You can do this by using the flight ability, commonly referred to in game as Cold Weather Flying; this allows players to use the flying mount, or Druid flight. If you do not have this, your only other option for entering the WoW WotLK Ulduar raid is to have a Warlock summon you.
Similarly to when the Ulduar raid was initially released, players will need to have on their best gear, be armed and ready, and have their tactical plans well thought out. You will face some of the challenges of the past, taking on bosses such as the following:
We suspect these fights may see some alterations over time, providing the WoW WotLK Ulduar raid with nostalgia but also a new twist. Until that time, most are to be released in close alignment with their original form. This means that even the most seasoned players may face difficulty when taking on these battles in hard mode.
January 23 - The final piece of the Ulduar patch WotLK
Following the introduction of the Ulduar raid from Monday, players can find Emalon, The Storm Watcher, in the east wing of the Vault of Archavon Raid. This raid is located in Wintergrasp, and if you're lucky enough to defeat him, you could get your hands on some of the following loot:
An exciting event to finalize the introduction of an exciting patch update! Something we're positive everyone is looking forward to.
