The Huge Amethyst Beetle is a legendary pet in Grow a Garden. It is purple and covered in gems. This pet came from the Gem Egg with a 32% chance. It was added on November 15, 2025 as a limited-time asset, so it is no longer easy to find in the game.

Its passive ability is called Beetle Duel. Every 6:00 to 1:20 minutes, the Amethyst Beetle starts a battle with another player's beetle, such as a Stag Beetle or Pine Beetle. If it wins, the owner gets a reward. Rewards can include 3x Beetle Juice, 5x Harvest Tool, a Grandmaster Sprinkler, a Beetle Lollipop, a Reclaimer, a Beetle Chew, a Silver Beetle Statue, or a Golden Beetle Statue.

Higher level and heavier beetles are more likely to win duels. That makes the Huge version a strong pick, since extra weight gives it a better chance in every fight. The pet has a hunger stat of 25,000 and its duel cooldown can be refreshed.

The Amethyst Beetle was the third pet made to interact with other players' pets. The Mimic Octopus pet can even copy its ability.
