Description
The Pine Beetle is a Legendary pet in the Roblox game Grow a Garden. It came out in the 1.36.0 update on December 13, 2025, during the second part of the Christmas event. It is an event-exclusive pet, so it was only available during this event.
The Pine Beetle has a fun passive ability. Sometimes it starts a battle with another player's Beetle. The owner of the winning Beetle gets exclusive rewards. This works a lot like the Amethyst Beetle, which looks similar and shares the same rarity. Keep in mind that this ability only works when another player on your server also has a Pine Beetle. Without that, the pet gives no benefit.
In the game, the Pine Beetle drops from Rare Gifts and Mythical Gifts. Players get these Gifts by visiting Tinsel the Elf at the Elf House in the main event area and turning in Christmas-mutated plants. The drop chance is 14.63% from the Mythical Gift and 4.55% from the Rare Gift, so it is not easy to pull. That makes the Pine Beetle a rare pick for players who want to battle other Beetles and win rewards.
