The Huge Ghostly Scarab is a limited pet in Grow a Garden. It came out on October 25, 2025, during the third part of the Halloween Event. It is now unobtainable in the game, which makes it a rare pet to own.
The Scarab is a small, dark brown beetle with a blocky look. It has six short legs, a square body, and small front pincers. Its tough, compact shape matches its name.
Its trait is called Spooky Scarab. Spooky type plants near the pet grow to a larger size. The base range is 32 studs, and it gains 0.25 studs for every kilogram of weight, up to a cap of 60 studs. The base growth boost is 0.32x, and it gains 0.03x per kilogram, up to a cap of 0.64x. The pet has a hunger stat of 2,000.
The Scarab also matters for one of the game's biggest goals. It is one of the three pets needed to summon the Lich pet with the Lich Crystal, along with the Bat and the Crow. Players who want the Lich or a strong spooky garden will find this pet very useful.
