The Magpie has a passive ability called Shiny Eye. When you sell silver fruit, it has a 7.09% chance to grant a random reward. This chance can grow up to a maximum of 30%. Rewards include gears, sprinklers, eggs, toys, treats, reclaimers, harvest tools, and Levelup Lollipops. Top drops include the Godly, Master, and Grandmaster Sprinklers. Many players call the Magpie the best pet for farming gears, since it can grant a total of 12 gears.
The Magpie works best with pets that turn plants silver. Cockatrice turns many plants silver about every 16 minutes. Silver Dragonfly turns one plant silver every 8 minutes, or every 5 minutes if it is Giant. Silver Monkey has about a 7% chance to refund fruit when selling. Giant Ant has about a 10% chance to duplicate fruit on harvest. Sell big batches of silver fruit to get more reward rolls from this pet.
