The Huge Nihonzaru is a rare pet in Grow a Garden. It came to the game on July 19, 2025 as part of the Zen Update. This pet hatches from the Zen Egg with a 31% chance. It is one of six pets found in that egg.

The Nihonzaru looks like a real Japanese Macaque with light brown fur. Its name means Japanese Macaque, which is a real animal. It has a hunger stat of 8,000.

Its passive ability is called Bathe Time. When there is a Hot Spring in your garden, the Nihonzaru bathes in it to relax. The Hot Spring is a cosmetic item from the Zen Shop. This makes the Nihonzaru the first pet in the game with an ability linked to a cosmetic item.

Each Nihonzaru needs its own Hot Spring. If you have more Nihonzaru than Hot Springs, the lowest level one will usually take the open spot. Players who want this fun bathing monkey in their garden will enjoy adding the Huge Nihonzaru to their pet collection.
