The Hyrax is an uncommon pet in Grow a Garden. It is a limited pet that came out during the Chubby Chipmunk Event on October 4, 2025. The Hyrax is brown with short ears, short legs, and no tail.

This pet has a special trait. From time to time, it eats a random fruit in your garden. When it does, it spits out a Fissure Berry seed. You can plant this rare seed to grow a Fissure Berry in your garden. The Fissure Berry is special because it is the second crop in the game that only comes from a pet. The first was the Golden Egg from the Golden Goose.

In the event, the Hyrax was unlocked by growing the Chubby Chipmunk. The chipmunk ate crops and got bigger. When it reached 30.48 kg, the Hyrax reward was unlocked at a sign near the NUTS NPC. The Hyrax has a hunger stat of 25,000.

Players want the Hyrax because it turns normal fruit into rare Fissure Berry seeds. It is also a limited event pet, so it is a nice pick for collectors.
