The Mandrake is a Legendary pet in Grow a Garden. It came out on August 23, 2025, as part of the second half of the Beanstalk Event. It looks a lot like the Mandrake crop, but its body is thicker and its green hair is smaller. It also has green tips on its toes and hands. Unlike the crop, this pet does not scream when held out.

The Mandrake has a helpful passive ability. When a player harvests a Mandrake crop, there is a small chance the pet will apply the Rot mutation to a random fruit in the garden. Players who grow Mandrake crops can use this pet to add more mutations over time. The pet has a hunger value of 10,000.

In the game, the Mandrake comes from the Skyroot Chest and the Exotic Skyroot Chest. It is one of the more common pets in the chest, but it still holds Legendary rarity. It is also the second pet to share its name with a crop, after the Kiwi. This makes it a fun pick for players who like matching pets with their plants.
