Description
The Adamantite bar is a metal bar in Old School RuneScape. It is made by smelting one adamantite ore with six coal in a furnace. You need level 70 Smithing to make one. Smelting a bar gives 37.5 Smithing experience.
At the Blast Furnace, you only need three coal per bar, which saves money on materials. You can also use the Superheat Item spell at level 43 Magic to smelt the bar. This spell gives Magic experience along with the Smithing experience.
Adamantite bars are used to smith adamant gear at level 70 Smithing and up. You can make daggers, axes, maces, helmets, swords, scimitars, and platebodies. The bars also make ammunition parts like arrowtips, dart tips, bolts, javelin tips, and cannonballs. Every item you smith from these bars gives 62.5 Smithing experience per bar.
This makes Adamantite bars a strong pick for training Smithing or for crafting mid-level weapons and armour. The bar is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move in bulk. Buying bars saves you the time it takes to mine ore and gather coal yourself.
