Description
The air talisman is an Old School RuneScape item that lets players enter the Air Altar. At the altar, players use the Runecraft skill to turn rune essence or pure essence into air runes. Only level 1 Runecraft is needed to make air runes, so this talisman is a great pick for new players training the skill.
The talisman has more uses too. Players can use a silver tiara on the Air Altar while holding an air talisman to make an air tiara. This gives 25 Runecraft experience and uses up the talisman. The air tiara works the same way but can be worn, which frees up an inventory slot for one more essence. The talisman can also be used as the secondary talisman to make combination runes, though it is consumed in the process.
The air talisman is not a members-only item, so free-to-play players can use it. It is tradeable but cannot be equipped and does not stack. In the game, players can get one from the Rune Mysteries quest or as a drop from monsters like goblins, men, air wizards, and dagannoths. Its examine text reads: "A mysterious power emanates from the talisman..."
