Description
The Antifire potion(2) is an Old School RuneScape potion with 2 doses of anti-firebreath protection. Each dose gives slight immunity to a dragon's breath for 6 minutes. It is a key item for players who fight dragons.
The potion alone does not fully block dragonfire. Pair a dose with an anti-dragon shield or dragonfire shield to get complete immunity. Protect from Magic also works with the potion against close-range dragonfire from chromatic dragons, but not against long-range attacks from metal dragons like mithril or rune dragons. The potion can also help reduce damage from Cerberus' lava pool attack when combined with other dragonfire resistance.
A warning message appears at about 5 minutes 45 seconds, and another when the effect wears off at about 6 minutes. Players must have started Dragon Slayer I to drink it.
The potion can be upgraded too. Lava scale shards turn it into an extended antifire at 84 Herblore. Crushed superior dragon bones make it a super antifire at 92 Herblore. After Barbarian Herblore Training, caviar can be added at 75 Herblore to make an antifire mix, which also heals 6 Hitpoints per dose.
