The apple tree seed is a Farming seed in Old School RuneScape. It grows into an apple tree that produces cooking apples. Players need level 27 Farming to plant it in a fruit tree patch.
To grow the tree, place the seed in a filled plant pot to make an apple seedling. Water it, and it will become an apple sapling. Then plant the sapling in a fruit tree patch. The tree takes 960 minutes to grow fully, which is 16 hours across 6 stages.
Planting gives 22 Farming experience. Checking the health of the grown tree gives 1199.5 experience, and harvesting adds 8.5 experience per apple. Each tree yields 6 cooking apples and regrows after harvesting, so it keeps giving fruit over time.
Players can pay a nearby farmer 9 raw sweetcorn to protect the tree while it grows. The sweetcorn can be noted.
The apple tree seed is a members only item. It is tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing. It is a solid pick for players training Farming or anyone who wants a steady supply of cooking apples.
